Next up in the C Final was the derby clash between Fanad Gaels and Na Dunaibh.A pulsating first half saw the Downings girls just shade it as they led 5-05 to 4-05 at the break. But any chance of a Fanad comeback in the second half was soon seen off as Na Dunaibh ran out easy winners in the end with some sparking displays in their fill forward line.Milford went into the B Final as clear favourites but fair play to Gaoth Dobhair who dominated for long periods during the opening 20 minutes. But goals win games and some good performances from Megan Ryan and captain Claudia Ward saw Milford lift the title, with player of the match Kellyann Buchanan hitting the goal of the day. Best for Gaoth Dobhair was county star Clodagh Ní Ghallchóir who hit 1-05.The showpiece A final was between last year’s runners-up Termon and St Eunan’s.It was a nervous and tense games for long periods, each side trading point for point before Termon hit a goal just before the break to edge in front by 3 points.Player of the Match Eimear Alcorn was in outstanding form for Termon, winning key possession when it mattered.Eunan’s had several goal opportunities with Niamh Walsh in outstanding form, but luck wasn’t with them on the day and Termon landed the A trophy with a 2-11 to 0-10 victory. Ciara McGarvey and Aoife Kelly hit the Termon goals whilst eight of Eunan’s points came from frees, five from Claire Doherty and three from Niamh Walsh. The standard of football on display throughout all four games shows how far ladies football has progressed in Donegal and augurs well for the future for both clubs and county. And once again Mac Cumhaills came up trumps as brilliant hosts.St Mary’s Convoy celebrate their winMilford were crowned B ChampionsFOOTBALL THE WINNER AT FESTIVAL OF U14 GIRLS FINALS AT MAC CUMHAILL PARK was last modified: July 19th, 2015 by John2Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:Daydonegalfinalsladies footbaMac Cumhaill ParkU14’slast_img read more
