Director James Cameron recently tweeted a picture of the antique automobile used in the film — and it still has the famous handprint left by Jack and Rose’s steamy hangout. On Monday, Cameron posted a photo of the vintage vehicle on his Twitter account. He captioned the picture with, “Over 20 years later, the infamous @TitanicMovie handprint is still there — look closely.”Over 20 years later, the infamous @TitanicMovie handprint is still there – look closely. pic.twitter.com/xN19iHw5cI— James Cameron (@JimCameron) February 25, 2019In the photo, the iconic handprint is still intact, 22 years after Titanic hit theaters. The handprint, which was thought to be left by Rose (Kate Winslet) in the love scene, was actually not a woman’s handprint, ComicBook.com reported. In AMC’s Visionaries: James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction docuseries, Cameron unveiled that the car window handprint is actually his, and it was preserved with some spray to prevent it from disappearing after the steamy scene. But, that’s not all: Viewers might also notice another important prop in Cameron’s picture. In the right center area of the image, there’s a shiny silver object. This strange prop strongly resembles a Terminator. Apparently, this T-800 endoskeleton was also “spying” on the Titanic automobile.I had a blast overseas, but it’s nice to come home and hang out with old friends (despite the fact that most of them are trying to kill me) at @Lightstorm_Ent. pic.twitter.com/pBaN6V06OG— James Cameron (@JimCameron) February 5, 2019Earlier this month, Cameron announced the title of his upcoming Terminator film, which will be called Terminator: Dark Fate, The Hollywood Reporter noted.
