ELECTION 2014: DONAL CULLEN TELLS CONSTITUENTS WHY THEY SHOULD VOTE FOR HIM

first_imgWith the local elections just days away, I am asking the people of the Milford/Letterkenny Electoral Area to VOTE DONAL CULLEN NO 1. WHY VOTE FOR ME?I have always been passionate about politics. This passion led me to study the subject at the University of Ulster at Magee Campus. I am the only candidate contesting this local election in the Milford/Letterkenny Electoral Area who has graduated with a B.A. Honours Degree in Irish History and Politics. My ability to face and conquer challenges has been proven as I am a recipient of the Presidents Gaise Award in both Sliver and Gold Challenges.I am one of the few candidates fluent in our native Irish language. This is my third time contesting the local election. This demonstrates that I am not lacking in political dedication or determination. If I am given the privilege of being elected as a councillor I will exercise this determination in Lifford to get things done.I don’t have a long list of sitting on numerous boards or committees to try and sway the voters but what I have is a passion and commitment to helping people to improve their situation where I can.On my election campaign canvass I have encountered time and time again the frustration, disillusionment, and anger that is out there among the public. On the door steps people have told me of their struggle to cope with the introduction of all these new unjust and unfair taxes. The cuts being implemented right across public services. These cuts are having a real impact on peoples lives. All we hear are figures, budgets and meeting targets on time. When are these politicians going to exit their cosy little bubble and live in the real world? Many people that I have spoken to have lost faith and confidence in the political system. Can one really blame them?It is successive Governments that has led to this attitude among voters with all their promises before every election but soon forgotten afterwards! It’s five years before they knock on doors again. If elected to Donegal County Council I will be honest, transparent, hard working, keep the public informed on important issues and make decisions for the benefit of the public not for the benefit of cosy political cartels.ELECTION 2014: DONAL CULLEN TELLS CONSTITUENTS WHY THEY SHOULD VOTE FOR HIM was last modified: May 22nd, 2014 by John2Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:Election 2014: Donal CullennewsPoliticslast_img read more
