While surfing the internet, I found this article on Dallas Clark. A lot of you will remember Dallas as the record-holding tight end of the Indianapolis Colts. He caught more passes than any other tight end in Colts history. This blog, however, focuses on what he is doing now as a retired NFL player. It was of interest to Sally & I because he has become a part-time farmer near Humboldt, Iowa. We would pass through this small farming community on our way to visit our daughter’s family in Spencer, Iowa. Clark purchased the family farm so that his 2 sons and 1 daughter could experience the type of life that he had growing up. He wants them to understand manual labor and that dirt can produce a beautiful crop.At the present time he is mentoring the new tight ends for the Colt organization. He has done some part-time broadcasting. Clark played his college ball at the University of Iowa.
