There are a number of differences between the basic and pro versions. The former comes with 8GB of storage, front-facing camera, 800×480 display, and a resistive touch screen. The Andy Pad Pro will be slightly more expensive at around $290. Both sport 7-inch screens and come preinstalled with a variety of apps including Twitter, Facebook, and Bubble Blast II.While the Andy Pad and it’s more expensive Pro edition are very competitive on price, you are making a few compromises for those savings. Android 2.3 on a tablet is dated, and a resistive touchscreen is something we were hoping would not be seen in a new tablet again. Then you have the 7-inch display, which may suit those who want to be more mobile, but isn’t for everyone. The Andy Pad will enter a market dominated by the iPad. It’s widely acknowledged that the iPad is the de facto king of the tablet market and the Andy Pad will have to overcome its non-iPad competition too. With the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the HP TouchPad, and the Motorola Xoom to compete with, the limited Andy Pad and Pro may have a tough time finding a market. What do you think? Would you pick up an Andy Pad or Andy Pad Pro due to their low price?
